3. Avoid licking your lips: Licking your lips can actually make them drier. Saliva evaporates quickly, which can cause your lips to feel even drier and more chapped.

4. Protect your lips from the elements: Wear a scarf or face mask to protect your lips from cold, dry weather. Use a lip balm with sunscreen to protect your lips from the sun.

5. Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption: Smoking can irritate and dry out your lips. Excessive alcohol consumption can also lead to dehydration and dry lips.

6. See a doctor: If your lips are severely chapped or cracked, see a doctor. They may prescribe a medicated lip ointment or recommend other treatments.
