Why cancer cells get cancer?
Cancer cells do not "get" cancer. Cancer is not a contagious disease. Cancer is a condition in which cells in the body begin to grow out of control. This uncontrolled growth can lead to the formation of tumors, which can spread to other parts of the body.
There are many factors that can contribute to the development of cancer, including:
* Genetic mutations: Genetic mutations are changes in the DNA of a cell. These changes can cause cells to grow out of control and form tumors.
* Environmental factors: Exposure to certain environmental factors, such as tobacco smoke, asbestos, and radiation, can also increase the risk of cancer.
* Infections: Some infections, such as the human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV), can also lead to cancer.
* Immune system dysfunction: A weakened immune system can also increase the risk of cancer.
It is important to note that cancer is not always caused by a single factor. In most cases, it is the result of a combination of factors.
