How many people of died cancer in history?

The exact number of people who died of cancer throughout history is not possible to determine. Cancer has existed for as long as humans have, but systematic record keeping of cancer deaths is a relatively recent development. However, it is estimated that in 2020 alone, there were approximately 10 million cancer-related deaths worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). This number continues to rise each year due to factors such as population growth and increasing prevalence of certain risk factors, such as tobacco use, unhealthy diets, and lack of physical activity.
