Cancer Side Effects

Cancer is defined by the growth of abnormal cells within the body. This can be a fatal disease, and it is important to recognize the symptoms in order to get treatment as quickly as possible.

Fatigue

• Cancer patients often feel very tired and drained for unexplainable reasons. This is one of the common symptoms of multiple types of cancer.

Weight

• Cancer usually causes changes in weight, whether it is an increase or decrease. This symptom is found in most types of cancer.

Pain

• Unexplainable pain in different or specific regions of the body can be a sign of cancer. The pain may be in different places, depending on the type of cancer.

Lumps

• Some cancer patients may notice a lump underneath the skin, such as in the breast. This is a sign of cancer cells developing in that region of the body.

Skin Abnormalities

• Abnormalities in the skin, such as sores, rashes or changes in color that persist, are usually signs of cancer.
