What do you if think might have skin cancer?
In the meantime, there are a few things you can do to help protect your skin:
* Avoid sun exposure, especially during the peak hours of 10am to 4pm.
* Wear protective clothing, including sunglasses, a hat, and long sleeves and pants.
* Use sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher.
* Reapply sunscreen every two hours, or more often if you're swimming or sweating.
* Avoid tanning beds and sunlamps.
If you notice any changes in your skin, such as new or changing moles, or sores that don't heal, it's important to see a doctor or dermatologist to have them checked out. Skin cancer is highly treatable when caught early, so it's important to be proactive about your skin health.
