Hoxsey Therapy
-
The topical skin-cancer treatment known as hoxsey therapy involves an intense blend of zinc, bloodroot and antimony paste. The topical ointment that this mixture creates has been frowned upon throughout its history by the FDA, which claims that there have been no credited cases in which the treatment actually served as a cure for skin cancer. It is being used extensively at the biomedical center in Tijuana, Mexico, where the treatment will cost you between $3,900 and $5,100. That price does not include the recommended dieting items and supplements required to properly go through with the hoxsey treatment.
Hoxsey Recommendations
-
Part of the treatment requires you to also take a drink mixture of licorice, burdock root, red clover barberry, cascara, stillingia root, prickly ash bark, potassium iodide and buckthorn bark. Along with this tonic, it's required that you use an antiseptic wash to make sure the affected area stays clean. Laxatives are also recommended as they will keep your system consistently churning and cleaning itself out. You might also be asked to avoid food products like tomatoes, alcohol, salt, sugar and white flour.
Hoxsey Side Effects
-
The topical ointment is, in itself, a very abrasive ointment that can burn or scar the skin. The mixture of all the supplements and tonics can cause adverse effects like nausea, diarrhea, anxiety attacks, heart blocks and trembling. If any of these begin to occur, consult your acting physician for any further recommendations that he may have.
