    Merkel Cell Carcinoma Symptoms

    • Merkel cell carcinoma is a very rare form of skin cancer that spreads quickly, often affecting bodily organs. It usually appears as small nodules that are very shiny --- as though something's pushing up from under the surface of the skin. They take root in the hair follicles and can appear blue, red or pink.

    Basal Cell Carcinoma Symptoms

    • Another type of skin cancer you should be on the lookout for is basal cell carcinoma. However, this is the easiest type of skin cancer to treat and very rarely spreads. It shows up as a waxy bump or a flat lesion anywhere on the body, including the ears. Usually, basal cell carcinomas can be removed by laser surgery and typically don't come back.
