What does it mean if your sons right testicle is much bigger than the left?
It is normal for one testicle to be slightly larger than the other. However, if you are concerned about the size difference between your son's testicles, you should talk to a doctor. The doctor can examine your son and determine if there is any underlying medical condition that needs to be treated.
In some cases, a large difference in testicle size can be a sign of a condition called testicular torsion. Testicular torsion occurs when the testicle twists on its spermatic cord, cutting off blood flow to the testicle. Testicular torsion is a medical emergency and requires immediate treatment.
Symptoms of testicular torsion include:
* Sudden, severe pain in the scrotum
* Swelling of the scrotum
* Redness of the scrotum
* Nausea
* Vomiting
If your son is experiencing any of these symptoms, you should take him to the emergency room immediately.
In most cases, testicular torsion can be treated with surgery. The surgery involves untwisting the testicle and restoring blood flow.
