What is a stork test?
A stork test is an outdated and unreliable method of determining the father of a child that has been disproven by modern genetics and physiology. It was once believed that a stork would bring a newborn baby to the mother's home, and people attributed the paternity of the child to the man whom the woman was engaged to or dating at the time of conception.
The myth of the stork test may have originated from ancient folklore and symbolism. In some cultures, storks were associated with fertility and childbirth. However, there is no scientific basis for the belief that storks deliver babies or that they can determine the paternity of a child.
Modern genetic testing and paternity tests, which analyze the DNA of the child, the mother, and potential fathers, are now used to determine the biological father of a child with accuracy.
