When do you take a pregnancy test if your period normal?
You should wait until at least one day after your missed period to take a pregnancy test. If your period is normal, this will give the hormone levels in your urine enough time to build up and be detected by the test. If you take the test too early, you may get a false negative result since the hormone levels might be below the detectable levels for the test. Taking the test just a day after missing the expected start date of period improves the chances of detecting the presence of the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone, which is only produced during pregnancy. Waiting a few days more can lead to an even clearer result because of further increase in hCG levels. Some pregnancy tests are more sensitive and can detect lower levels of hCG, allowing for earlier detection. Always follow the instructions provided with your specific test to ensure the most accurate result.
