How to Self Screen for Adult ADD
-
1
Test your ability to stay focused. Start a task such as cleaning a room in your house and see if you are able to finish without abruptly abandoning the task.
-
2
Evaluate your level of functioning in every day life. Check to see if you are taking care of your responsibilities such as paying your bills on time. Failure to get things done due to procrastination or forgetfulness can be a symptom of adult ADD.
-
3
Look for signs of impulsiveness in your actions. This can include frequently changing jobs, professions or sexual partners on a whim.
-
4
Take an honest look at your communication skills. See if you are dominating conversations and not allowing others to speak.
-
5
Observe the quality of your relationships. See if you have a history of conflict with co-workers and in your home life.
