What is adolescense?

Adolescence is a transitional stage of human development that generally occurs between the ages of 10 and 19. It is a period of significant physical, cognitive, and emotional growth and change. During adolescence, individuals experience a rapid increase in height and weight, as well as the development of secondary sexual characteristics such as breasts in females and facial hair in males. They also undergo significant changes in their cognitive abilities, becoming more capable of abstract thought and reasoning. Adolescence is also a time of increased emotional intensity and social awareness, as individuals begin to form their own identities and explore their independence from their parents and other adults.
