Do kids with ADHD become violent?
While ADHD can be associated with certain behaviors that may increase the risk of aggression or disruptive behaviors, it does not directly cause violence. It's important to understand the factors contributing to a child's behavior, such as their environment, upbringing, and emotional regulation skills. ADHD in itself does not lead to violence. However, it is known that children with ADHD may have difficulty controlling their impulses, which can sometimes lead to aggressive behavior. It is important for parents and educators to work with children with ADHD to develop strategies for managing their impulsivity and anger.
