How to Make a Buffered Saline Solution
Saline solution is simple mixture of sodium chloride and water. Saline solutions have many home uses; including irrigation of nasal passages for people with chronic nasal congestion, allergies or post nasal drip. Buffering a saline solution helps the solution to maintain a constant pH level and improves mucous removal, when used for nasal irrigation. For purity and best storage results, distilled water and natural, or organic, sea salt should be used when making your own buffered saline solution.Things You'll Need
