Is it possible to be allergic yourself?

It is not possible to be allergic to yourself. An allergy is a reaction by your immune system to a foreign substance, such as pollen, dust mites, or pet dander. Your immune system produces antibodies that are designed to attack the foreign substance, and when you come into contact with it, the antibodies trigger a release of histamine and other chemicals, which cause allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes.

Since your own cells are not foreign to your immune system, it does not produce antibodies against them, and therefore you cannot be allergic to yourself.
