1
Pour 3 cups of water into a tea kettle or cooking pot. Set the stovetop burner to medium. Bring the water to a slow boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove the kettle or cooking pot from the heat.
-
2
Place 3 chamomile teabags (1 teabag per cup of water) into the kettle or pot. Allow the chamomile to steep in the water for 2-3 minutes. Pour 1-2 cups of hot chamomile tea into a tea cup or coffee mug. Add 1 tsp. of honey per cup of tea. Stir the chamomile and honey tea mixture. Drink the antidote to sooth symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
-
3
Remove the chamomile teabags from the kettle or pot. Place the teabags in the refrigerator for later use. Let the remaining 1 cup of chamomile tea cool in the kettle or cooking pot until it is lukewarm or place the mixture into the refrigerator to cool for 10-15 minutes.
-
4
Soak 2 cotton balls into the cooled chamomile mixture. Use the cotton balls to blot the chamomile tea mixture around the outside of the eyes, eyelids and under-eye area to reduce swollen allergy eyes, itching and allergic shiners.
-
5
Take the cold teabags out of the refrigerator 4-5 hours later. Place the teabags over closed eyes, on top of the forehead and/or sinuses like a poultice for 15-20 minutes to reduce allergy-related inflammation and congestion.
