Side Effects of Patanol Eye Drops

Patanol is prescription eye drop used to treat allergy symptoms such as watery, itchy or red eyes. Patanol is an antihistamine that works by blocking the effect of histamine, which causes an allergic reaction. Patanol will only treat the eye symptoms caused by seasonal allergies. Doctors typically recommend that people with allergies put one drop in each eye twice a day at least six to eight hours apart. Contact wearers should not use Patanol while wearing their contact lenses.
