Cashew Allergy Symptoms

An allergic reaction can strike one who has never had cashews prior to their first cashew allergy attack. Those who suffer from allergies to cashews may be allergic to all nuts or only cashews. For others, allergies are limited to tree nuts.
  1. Hives

    • About half of cashew allergy sufferers experience hives on their skin during an allergy attack.

    Respiratory Symptom

    • Some have difficulty breathing after having any kind of contact with this nut.

    Intestinal

    • Vomiting and diarrhea are intestinal reactions that some who are allergic to cashews experience upon ingestion.

    Severity

    • Symptoms of the cashew allergy may range from being a mild discomfort to the person who is allergic and all the way up to being very serious, even fatal.

    Anaphylaxis

    • Children with a cashew allergy are most in danger of going into anaphylactic shock, which can result in death in a matter of minutes if not treated immediately.
