How to Reduce Allergy Symptoms Towards Cats, Dogs & Birds
Instructions

1
One of the easiest things to do is to take an antihistamine such as benadryl. This will reduce your allergy symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes & itchiness.
-
2
Wash your hands right after interacting with your pet and prevent touching your face with your hands until after you wash your hands.
-
3
Reduce other allergens such as dust mites and mold, that might contribute to your allergic reactions. See my article below on How To Get Rid of Dust Mites.
-
4
Avoid, if possible, sleeping in the same bed or room as your pets. Get your pet his or her own bed to sleep in.
-
5
Purchase an air filter to help remove dust from the air.
-
6
Invest in a vacuum cleaner that is specific for allergies. We have a Dyson which I highly recommend. It's expensive, but very worth the investment!
-
7
Change your bedding once a week. Washing all your sheets, blankets and pillowcases in very hot water will kill allergens. Also, use dust proof covers for your mattresses and pillows.
