1
Make the drops routine. Work them into your schedule as you would any other type of daily medication. The sublingual allergy drops will be a part of your life for the next 3 to 5 years.
-
2
Modify your diet. You should not eat or drink anything for at least 10 minutes after the drops. The drops usually taste minty or a bit like honey.
-
3
Place the drops under your tongue. Close your mouth for 2 minutes, or as directed by the doctor. Set a timer so you can do other things while waiting. Droppers are usually provided and some vials will have a special dropper pump so that you can pump out only one drop at a time.

Administer the drops sublingually as often as directed by your physician. Some patients will only need them once daily, while others may need a dose several times a day. The frequency will depend on the severity of your allergy.
