Inhale deeply to free any nasal congestion caused by dry air, smoke or pollution.

Put four to five drops of sinus-clearing essential oils (such as eucalyptus, lavender or sandalwood) in a large bowl of boiling-hot water. Cover your head and the bowl with a large towel and take long breaths for about 10 minutes. Do this three to four times daily.

Press gently with your index fingers on the space just above and between your eyebrows. Press for 10 to 15 seconds or till you get relief.

Drink hot tea (non-caffeinated) three times a day. The vapors of the tea will releases congestion in your sinuses.

Take pain relievers such as aspirin, ibuprofen or acetaminophen (if above 18 years of age).

Eat spicy food containing hot salsas or chiles, or sprinkle some cayenne pepper on your food. This may help open clogged nasal passages.
