One environmental influence that can cause vertigo is changes in the atmospheric pressure. At higher altitudes, the air contains less oxygen resulting in dizziness. Some activities, such as amusement park rides, can also cause vertigo.
Symptoms

People suffering from vertigo or dizziness exhibit a physical imbalance and decline in thought processes. In addition to other symptoms, they may also experience sweating, blurred vision and nausea. As well, they could become more sensitive to bright lights and noise.
