Does arteriols have valves and pulsate?
Arterioles do not have valves, and they do not pulsate.
Valves: Valves are one-way flaps of tissue that prevent backward flow of blood. They are found in veins, but not in arterioles. This is because the blood pressure in arterioles is high enough to keep the blood flowing forward without the need for valves.
Pulsation: Pulsation is the rhythmic expansion and contraction of arteries. It is caused by the pumping action of the heart. Arterioles are too small to pulsate in response to the heartbeat.
