    • A drug called RoActemra was tested in Ireland as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. The treatment with RoActemra, also known as tocilizumab, reportedly resulted in a remission of symptoms for half of the patients involved.

    • According to arthritis.org, Cox-2 drugs offer the benefit of other arthritis drugs without the side effects, such as stomach upset.

    • Gold---the same gold used in jewelry---is also used in drug form and has been shown to reduce the inflammation of arthritis.
