According to the U.S. Military website, the diagnosis of asthma, or the disclosure of asthma as a diagnosed condition, can result in the rejection of enlistment, appointment or induction into the U.S. military defense forces.

    • According to the Military website, if a diagnosis of asthma is in doubt, a test can be conducted under U.S. military supervision. Tests are conducted for reversible airflow obstruction and airway hyperactivity.
