How to Include Lemons and Limes for Lung Health

Squeeze Lemons /Limes into water for lung health:
Instead of just drinking plain water, squeeze some fresh lemon juice, or lime juice into it, this is not only giving you a mega boost of antioxidants, it is also very refreshing.

Drink lemon/Lime in tea:
Go ahead make your cup of hot tea. Instead of using sugar, try just a bit of stevia if you need sweet, and add a teaspoon of fresh squeezed lime or lemon in to your tea.

Sprinkle on Fresh Vegetables and Salad:
Top blanched vegetables with a squirt of fresh lemon or lime. Add it on top of your healthy salad for a zesty touch, and to magnify and strengthen the health of your lungs.

Make a Cooler:
Try blending coconut milk, mint leaves, crushed ice and lime juice. This is an excellent way to refresh and get adequate amounts of vitamin C for lung health.

Use Lemon/Limes for salt:
Many of us are trying to limit our salt intake for health reasons. Try putting a wedge of lemon or lime on your plate with a meal and using the juice as a substitute for salt. It is tart and tangy and can really do the trick to adding flavor.
