Can I Mix Advair & Combivent?

Advair is a medication prescribed to asthma suffers to help prevent airway spasms. It also is prescribed to people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to treat occurring airway spasms. Combivent is prescribed to treat only patients with COPD. It is not recommended for asthma users. You may inhale Combivent if your spasm symptoms have not alleviated after Advair usage.     • Both Advair and Combivent are administered via inhalers. Advair comes in a powder form, but that is not recommended for COPD sufferers. For asthma sufferers, Advair generally does not work quickly. Therefore it is only recommended as a preventative medication. Do not use Advair during an asthma attack. For COPD, however, Advair is often prescribed as the first line of defense since it contains a steroid that helps the muscles to relax and decrease inflammation.

    Combivent

    • After using Advair, if your symptoms have not alleviated or have only slightly decreased, you may use Combivent. Check with your doctor to plan and confirm the Advair, Combivent strategy. Providing your doctor with your complete medical history and allow your doctor to confirm this treatment of severe attacks. Do not exceed the recommended dosage of both Advair or Combivent.
