Known as a powerful bronchial dilator, Lobelia can open restricted bronchial air passages, getting them to relax and restoring normal breathing. But this herb has many other uses. For example, for people who have been poisoned, Lobelia can induce vomiting. Used as a sedative, it can subdue spinal cord functionality, producing a relaxing effect. Lobelia is also a stimulant, however, much in the way nicotine stimulates the central nervous system. In fact, it can be used to help with nicotine addiction. It comes in liquid form. The recommended dosage is five drops under the tongue twice a day.
BioVent Drops

BioVent drops are most commonly used by asthmatics. However, this herbal supplement can support healthy respiratory function and open bronchial air passages while strengthening the immune system, so you don't have to be asthmatic to use it. Recent studies support the theory that herbs can be beneficial to respiratory health and can open blocked air passages, maintain normal breathing and support the immune system. BioVent is all-natural, consisting of Chamomile, Huang Qi (Astragalus mebranaceus), Arsen alb (6C) and Phosphorus (C6). BioVent should be diluted in ¼ cup of water. For adults, the dosage is 15 to 20 drops two to three times a day; for children, one drop per year of age two to three times a day.
Wintergreen Oil

Used as an herbal tonic, wintergreen oil stimulates circulation and relieves pain, but also increases lung capacity by opening bronchial passages. Wintergreen oil contains 98 percent methyl salicylate, the predecessor of aspirin. Like aspirin, Wintergreen oil can relieve pain and reduce inflammation, including respiratory inflammation. Please note, however, that if you are allergic to aspirin you shouldn't take wintergreen. The recommended dosage is five to 10 drops every two to three hours until bronchial passages are clear.
