Make a decision about whether or not your child is ready for an overnight camp experience. Talk with your child's therapist to see what they think. also consult your child.

Use the internet to look up summer programs designed for kids on the Autism spectrum. Keep in mind that programs like this can be very expensive. Also look into special needs programs at regular camps.

Call the disability program director at the camps that you are looking at and set up an appointment with them so that they may meet you and your child to see if the child is a right fit for the program.
