Can a person catch swine flu from dead cause of the virus?
It's highly unlikely for someone to catch swine flu from a dead person. The virus, which is technically called influenza A virus H1N1, is spread primarily through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. Direct contact with infected bodily fluids, such as mucus or saliva, can also transmit the virus. However, the virus is not known to survive for long outside of a living host, so the risk of transmission from a deceased person is considered very low. The virus typically becomes inactive within hours to a few days once outside the body.
