Having which protein in blood we called RH factor is positive?

Rh factor is a protein found on the surface of red blood cells. People who have this protein are Rh-positive, while those who don't are Rh-negative. The Rh factor is inherited from both parents, and it's not linked to any health problems.

The Rh factor is important in pregnancy. If a pregnant woman is Rh-negative and her baby is Rh-positive, the baby's red blood cells can cross the placenta and enter the mother's bloodstream. This can cause the mother's immune system to produce antibodies against the Rh factor. These antibodies can cross the placenta and attack the baby's red blood cells, leading to a condition called erythroblastosis fetalis. Erythroblastosis fetalis can cause serious health problems, including jaundice, anemia, and brain damage.

To prevent erythroblastosis fetalis, Rh-negative pregnant women are given a medication called RhoGAM. RhoGAM is an antibody that binds to Rh-positive red blood cells and prevents them from crossing the placenta. RhoGAM is safe for both the mother and the baby, and it is highly effective in preventing erythroblastosis fetalis.
