What type of RBC can a patient who has negative blood receive?

A person with negative blood can only receive negative blood. This is because the Rh factor, which is an antigen on the surface of red blood cells, is inherited. A person with negative blood does not have the Rh factor, so they can only receive blood from someone who also does not have the Rh factor. If a person with negative blood receives blood from someone with positive blood, their immune system will attack the Rh factor and destroy the red blood cells.
