Is there a disease where you need blood transfusions every day?

Sickle cell disease is a group of inherited red blood cell disorders. In sickle cell disease, the red blood cells become sickle-shaped. Sickle-shaped red blood cells can cause problems such as pain, infection, and organ damage. People with sickle cell disease often need blood transfusions to help keep their red blood cell levels up.
