Why can people with this blood type receive from all other types?

AB positive blood type is often referred to as the "universal recipient," as people with this blood type are able to safely receive blood transfusions from any blood group without the risk of rejection. This is because AB positive blood lacks the A and B antigens that are present in other blood groups, which means that it will not trigger an immune response in individuals who have different blood types. However, individuals with AB positive blood can only donate blood to people with AB positive or AB negative blood types.
