Do all blood cells exchange water by thrombosis?
Thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel, which can obstruct blood flow and cause serious health problems. It is not a process by which blood cells exchange water.
The exchange of water and other substances between blood cells and their surroundings occurs through the process of osmosis, which is the movement of water molecules across a semipermeable membrane from an area of higher water concentration to an area of lower water concentration. This process helps maintain the proper balance of fluids and solutes within blood cells and ensures their normal functioning.
