What is gastropathy hyperemic?
Hyperemic gastropathy is a condition characterized by excessive blood flow and inflammation in the lining of the stomach. It is typically caused by the use of certain medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or by alcohol abuse. Symptoms of hyperemic gastropathy can include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and heartburn. Treatment typically involves stopping the use of the offending medication and taking antacids or proton pump inhibitors to reduce stomach acid production.
