If I drank out of the same water bottle as a girl who has had mono before but did not touch mouthpiece are am still at high risk to get mono?

Sharing a water bottle, cup, straw, eating utensils (e.g., forks, spoons) or food with an infected individual can lead to transmission of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).

It is unlikely but theoretically possible to contract mono by contact with surfaces used by a person infected with the EBV (e.g., water fountain/tap handle, computer keyboard, telephone handle), although this mode of transmission has not been clearly documented.
