Learn whether or not you are an eligible plasma donor. You may not suffer from any disease or illness, you must be between the ages of 18 and 64 and you must not have any tattoos or piercings acquired in the past 12 months. Pregnant women may not donate.

Call a Wichita plasma donation center to make an appointment to donate your plasma. At your initial appointment you will fill out application paperwork, submit proof of identity to the center, undergo a complete physical exam and have blood work done. Provide the doctor at the donation center with your complete health history.

Donate your plasma. Doctors will hook you to an Food and Drug Administration-approved machine that will remove your blood, separate the plasma from your blood and return the blood to your body. Your initial donation appointment takes between one and two hours. You may bring a book or other entertainment with you to keep you occupied while donating.
