How to Perform a Dry Layer Oxidative Stress Blood Test

The Dry Layer Oxidative Stress Blood Test observes free radicals and other health concerns in a person's body. This simple test, taken in a medical lab, looks for a person's "normal" or "abnormal" blood pattern. Blood is an indicator of health, and can tell physicians where cell damage or altered enzyme activity has occurred. Evidence of these problems in the bloodstream can lead to fatigue, dehydration, Candida and iron deficiency.

Instructions

    • 1

Dab a cotton ball into 70 percent alcohol. Sterilize a lancet with the cotton ball.

    • 2

Dip another cotton ball into the 70 percent alcohol. Wipe the cotton ball on the finger you want to test.

    • 3

Puncture your finger with the sterile lancet. Squeeze your finger to draw a drop of blood onto a glass slide.

    • 4

Place 2 to 4 film strips on top of the glass slide. Wait for the blood to dry for 30 seconds to one minute.

    • 5

Place the glass slide under a microscope. Look for disconnected dried blood, which relates to health problems and free radical activity. A healthy person would have more tightly coagulated and connected areas.
