Repliva Side Effects

Repliva is a combination medication that contains iron, vitamin C, vitamin B12 and folic acid. It is prescribed to treat anemia associated with pregnancy, blood loss and diet restrictions. As with all prescription medications, side effects may occur while using Repliva.

    • The most common side effects while using Repliva include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and dark stools.

    Serious Side Effects

    • Repliva has the potential of causing serious side effects. If hives, rash, itching and breathing difficulty are noticed, these are symptoms of an allergic reaction; patients should contact a health care professional immediately.

    Drug Interactions

    • Repliva has the potential to interact with other medications. Inform your physician if currently taking over-the-counter medications, herbal supplements, vitamins, anti-seizure medications, bisphosphonates, thyroid medications and tetracycline antibiotics.

    Precautions

    • While taking Repliva, patients with pre-existing medical conditions should consult with a physician prior to administration of this medication. Notify the health care professional if diagnosed with metabolic disorders and gastrointestinal problems.

    Warning

    • Repliva is not recommended for children under the age of 6. Taking the exceeded recommended dosage may result in an overdose occurring which could cause fatal poisoning.
