Betaloc CR Side Effects
Betaloc CR is a beta-blocking agent used in the treatment of high blood pressure. The medication works by changing the normal response patterns of nerve impulses in certain parts of the body, which in turn alleviates some of the symptoms associated with high blood pressure. As is the case with most medications, there are a number of side effects associated with using this drug.-
Common Side Effects

Some common side effects include dizziness, lightheadedness, decreased sexual energy, drowsiness, insomnia, unusual tiredness and weakness, wheezing, chills, cold hands and feet, mental depression, and swelling of the ankles and feet. While these are considered the most common side effects associated with using the drug, they only affect approximately 10 percent of users.
Severe Side Effects

Unfortunately, there are also a number of severe side effects associated with using the drug. Some of these side effects include chest pain, confusion, dark urine, joint pain, back pain, sore throat, fever, irregular heartbeat, redness and scaling of the skin, yellowing of the skin and eyes, and hallucinations. These side effects are also very rare and only affect fewer than five percent of users.

Betaloc CR has been known to cause increased dizziness and drowsiness in users. As a result, it is recommended not to operate any type of machinery (including automobiles) while using this medication. Tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any type of food or medication before beginning treatment with Betaloc. Some users have reported unusual effects when taking this drug while pregnant, so consult with your doctor before using this drug during pregnancy.
Usage

Always use this medication exactly as it was prescribed to you and never in dosages that exceed what has been recommended on the label. This medication can be administered in either pill or liquid form, and should always be taken with water. Do not miss any doses of the medication as it can set back your treatment immediately. If you do miss a dosage, take the next one immediately. However, it is important to never take two doses at one time.
