Get more vitamin C in your diet in order to help your body absorb iron more efficiently. Add a citrus fruit snack, such as an orange or a grapefruit, each day in order to increase vitamin C intake.

Reduce your caffeine intake and stop smoking in order to allow your body to heal and to take care of your overall health.

Get more sleep, which allows your body to heal and to keep your immune system working. Keep your caffeine intake low and get regular exercise in order to sleep better. Practice a relaxation technique before bedtime in order to fight insomnia and have a more restful sleep.
