Get a package of straws. The straw will be your new knife, fork and spoon until you heal properly. Straws can be found straight, curved or flex. The flex straws can bend to an L-shape, allowing you to be positioned comfortably while you eat or drink. Try different ones to see what feels best for you.

Get a blender. You're going to be blending almost all of your food. But don't worry. Just because your food will look different, maybe even unrecognizable, it'll still taste the same and offer the same nutritional value. Try blending vegetables, fruits, desserts, meats and fish---whatever suits you. Smoothies and milkshakes are good sources of calories, if you need a boost.
