How to Bathe With a Cast on Your Foot
Aside from walking and sleeping, one of the other routine activities you may struggle with while in a cast is bathing. Not only do you need to prevent your cast from getting wet, but you also need to maintain your balance while doing so. While you may consider just washing up to avoid the hassle of bathing, there are ways that you can enjoy a hot bath, even with a cast on your foot.Things You'll Need

1
Cover the entire cast with two plastic bags.
-
2
Slip a rubber band or tie a string tightly around the top of the plastic bags at the top of the cast. Do not use a rubber band around the ankle itself.
-
3
Tuck a washcloth or hand towel under the string or rubber band. It will absorb any water that splashes and offers an added layer of protection.
-
4
Sit down and prop your foot up on the edge of the tub.
-
5
Cleanse your body.

6
Cut the bags off with a pair of scissors when you're done.
