How to Make a Rice Paper Flower
Made from parts of the rice plant, rice paper proves to be a historically useful textured paper. Sometimes it contains other items such as flaxseed and hemp, but rice paper always displays a translucent appearance. Making flowers out of rice paper proves to be a creative endeavor whether you're making crafty decor or fashion accessories. Regardless of the use, rice paper flowers are attractive and can be decorated with ease.Things You'll Need

1
Draw a four-petaled daisy outline, lightly, on the center of one of the rice paper sheets. If you're not handy with freehand drawing, use a stencil.
-
2
Cut around the flower outline. Be careful not to damage the outline.
-
3
Place the outline on the other piece of rice paper and trace it. Do this with the final sheet of rice paper.
-
4
Cut out all of the outlines carefully with the sharp scissors.
-
5
Place a dot of hot glue on the center of one of the flower cutouts. Layer one of the other cutouts on top of it evenly, centering the two. Repeat this step by gluing the final cutout on top of the other. Let the flower cutouts dry for 15 minutes.
-
6
Squeeze a dot of glue on either the top or the underside of the glued flower cutouts. Adhere the green pipe cleaner to this spot and let it dry. The pipe cleaner is the stem of the flower.
-
7
Paint the central layer of the rice paper cutout bright canary yellow with the acrylic paint. Let it dry for an hour before proceeding.
-
8
Paint the other two layers of cutouts any color you wish, such as purple, pink, red or even black.
