Applying more than the desired amount or applying the cream in areas you did not intend can cause minor side effects. Follow the instructions on the packaging to make sure that you are applying the proper amount. If you do apply too much, you can easily remove the cream.

  Wet and wring out a paper towel.

  Fold the paper towel into quarters. This will allow for a more precise removal when applied to the cream.

  Wipe the desired portion of cream away from the skin with the paper towel. Only wipe away the excess cream. Do not wipe away the cream you intend to use in the desired area.

  Fold the paper towel once more and wipe the area once again to ensure that no residue remains on the affected area. Dispose of the paper towel.
