Why do narcissists bend over backwards for other people but treat you like dirt?

It is not typical for narcissists to bend over backwards for other people. They tend to be focused on their own needs and desires and may not have much empathy for others. They may treat others poorly, including those close to them, as they may lack the ability to understand and respect their feelings.
