Why does heart not joined to any bones?

The heart is not directly connected to any bone. It is enclosed within the mediastinum, a cavity in the chest surrounded by the sternum, ribs, and vertebrae. The pericardium, a thin membrane, further encloses and protects the heart. This arrangement allows the heart to move freely and expand and contract during each heartbeat without being restricted by bone structures.
