Can the bones in skull move?

The short answer is no.

The bones of the skull are fused together by immovable joints called sutures. These sutures allow for some growth in the skull during childhood and adolescence, but once the skull is fully grown, the sutures fuse together and the bones become immovable. This fusion is necessary to protect the brain from injury. If the bones of the skull could move, the brain would be at risk of being damaged by even minor bumps and jolts.
