How to Make a Sling From a Sweatshirt
A sling is a simple piece of medical equipment that can alleviate a great deal of pain for someone that has injured a limb. The sling immobilizes the injured limb in a position that places only a minimal amount of strain on the limb, therefore reducing pain. Tie the sleeves of the sweatshirt together. The knot should be in a place such that the sweatshirt will hold the arm bent at a 90-degree angle.

Wrap the arm in the body of the sweatshirt. The wrist should be where the neck hole of the sweatshirt is, and the bottom edge of the sweatshirt should be at the elbow.

Wrap the knotted sleeves around your neck. The inside sleeve, the one against your body, should go across your body to the far side of your neck, or the side opposite the injured arm.
